Miles nodded. "A case of 'Criminal Personality'," he explained. "It's one of Kay Cee's creative charges. She has appointed herself the prosecutor, Lucille as the Judge, and myself as a witness. I assume the defendant is defending himself in this case." He added after he sipped his cup of tea with his pinky out, "Because of who the judge is, the trial is set at 7:30 PM and the lighting will be dimmed, but if you want to see it, you are welcome to."
Kay Cee argued, "It's exactly how the book says it should go!"
"It's not," said Franziska. She pointed at the display shown in a magazine. "The foolish fool's argument becomes increasingly foolish, as does the fool."
Kay Cee countered with a display in a professional's book. "Take that! The fool here is you." Usually, Franziska's argument had big holes like that.
Their argument continued with Ms. von Karma's protests and her claims of perfection.
Miles looked up at the clock while he drank his tea. By the time those two stopped arguing, the time was 7:18 PM. The sun already started to set. In fact, it would be night in two minutes. "Even the sun grew tired of their fighting," he said.

"This is boring." Jareth muttered. "I wish I was back at the house." And he disappeared in a puff of smoke and glitter.
"I do hope he didn't reappear in my basement." Erik groaned. "I had just finished vacuuming the floor from the last time he did that..." Kurama sat down in Jareth's vacant seat, having finished cleaning up the living room.
"Will we be staying for the trial, Sophie?" He asked, pushing Jareth's cup away and getting a new one for himself.
"I guess we can..." She replied. "Is that all right with you guys?"
"I am myself a judge." Basch said humbly. "I think this will be interesting."
"And as long as I'm away from Jareth, I'm fine." Erik sighed. Sophie turned to Miles with a polite smile.
"We'd love to watch the trial, thank you."

"It isn't until tomorrow," Kay Cee pressed, "7:30
tomorrow
, as in 24 hours from now. You could get away with going back to your own territory until then." She sighed.
Miles asked, "Did I neglect to mention that?"
Kay Cee patted him on the back. "Yes. Yes, you did. But I'm sure I mentioned it plenty a while ago. For some reason, people don't pay much attention to me. I've got no idea why! I always say the most important details! And what was up with that blonde? His mouth kept moving but all I could hear was a 'Whooooooosh' sound!"
Miles gently pushed her outside of the house as she ranted. He closed the door behind her.
"OI! NOT FAIR!" Kay shouted from outside. She walked to the pitfall in a huff. Sunset already passed. Lucille was going to wake up soon enough. At least the carnivore was
nicer
to her than the prosecutors.

"Yeah, I think it's time we headed back... I'm getting hungry." Sophie stretched. "It was great to meet you, Miles, Kay Cee! I think we'll be able to find our way back all right." Basch, Kurama and Erik stood as well, walking to the door.
"Again, it was a pleasure, miss Von Karma." Kurama said politely to Franziska. "I suppose I'll see you at the trial tomorrow." He smiled, then left along with the others.
"I take it that you will not be rehearsing tonight, mademoiselle?" Erik asked. Sophie shook her head.
"Nah. It's Sunday. I've got a few of my favorite shows recorded. I think we should have a TV night." They walked along the sidewalk, keeping in the glow of the streetlamps.
"See now, Sophie? I told you something interesting would come from seeing what was beyond your territory." Kurama patted her on the head.
"Yeah, yeah." She shrugged. "I guess you were right. Again." They found themselves at the edge of the fog that separated the two worlds.
"I like this place." Basch said. "But I think I prefer home better."
"Wise words." Erik replied. One by one, the four disappeared.

Raphael's AT was... different.
Picture the largest tundra you know. Now imagine the floor is paved, and that there are some trees in big vases thrown here and there. If seen from above, though, the trees draw a big spiral. In the middle of that spiral lies a house. But not any house.
A big, green building made of metal, somewhat resembling a green whale coming out of the ground. Next to it, somewhat smaller, a cathedral-like building. Both buildings have a small lawn, a picket fence around them, and in front of each one, a suburbs-style mailbox.
"The Bonne Family", the one in the left read. The one of the right had "Judge Magister Gabranth and Sir Raphael" written on it instead. The letters "ael" were crossed out.
From the green house, came the sound of metal being hammered. Sir Raph noticed that when he left the house he shared with Gabranth.
"Ow come on! It's 9 in the morning! Do those guys even sleep?" He mumbled to himself. "They have nothing to plunder here, and no blue boy to fight. Why do they keep creating weapons of war?"
"Perhaps, Sir Raphael, because they have no duty to fulfill." Said a voice behind him. An armored man walked over to him. Apparently, he had been by the door the whole time, and Sir Raph hadn't noticed him the least.
"And do you? Also, call me Sir all you want, but I am not Raphael, that's an old man's name. I'm Raph. I keep telling you this." Raph said, somewhat bugged by this bad habit of Noah.
The latter didn't answer, and instead walked away.
"Hmm, not in a talking mood. I guess I'll go play chess with Bon then.", Raph thought, walking towards the green airship whale house thing.

The next morning, Jareth (under duress from Sophie) poofed the lot of them to the outskirts of her territory.
"All right, let's go!" Sophie said cheerfully.
"You're a lot more eager than you were yesterday..." Kurama noted.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever, fox-boy." She sighed. "Onward!" The five of them disappeared into the fog. Unlike before, they ended up somewhere other than Kay Cee's AT.
"It took much longer to get to Kay Cee's territory." Erik noted.
"We didn't take a wrong turn..." Jareth looked around. "Let's go this way..."
"You're taking the initiative?" Basch asked, surprised. "Well, that's surprising."
"Jareth... The trees indicate there's something over here." Kurama said, pointing in the opposite direction.
"Of course. You and your damn 'plant whisperer' skills always ruin everything." The goblin king sighed. They walked on until they came to the odd buildings.
"Basch... Look at the sign..." Sophie pointed.
"Judge... Magister... Gabranth?" Basch read aloud, confused. "But... that's impossible..." He looked at Sophie. "Isn't it?"

((Gotcha. Skipping to day in the middle of the post.))
A pale, bony hand found its way to the top of the pitfall's ladder. The nails exceeded a normal length. The nocturnal creature hoisted themselves over the edge to meet the night's fresh air. "Ell," it called the puppeteer by her true name. A pair of pale eyelids opened to reveal slightly glowing bright red eyes. The mouth opened wide with a signature toothy grin. All of the teeth kept sharp points for ripping apart prey. Long, messy, de-pigmented hair reached down to her hips. She not only had a 'disheveled appearance'; she looked as if she were a wild animal. Despite that, her black dress was quite clean and new.
"Lucille," Kay Cee said. She bowed. "I have your breakfast here." She handed the carnivore a large bag. "I'm sorry it couldn't be beef, but that's how the cookie crumbles, I guess." She laughed.
Lucille accepted the gift with a smile. "I wish everyone could be cheery like you and I," she said. She laughed, too. "Don't you sleep at night?"
Kay Cee shrugged. "I can wait a few hours to sleep, I think. There is something I would like to speak with you about." She sat precariously on the edge of the pitfall.
If Lucille pushed her.. If she did that, would anyone really notice? Yes. Yes, they would. She would no longer have a home as well. Once again, she decided not to eat Kay Cee. "Of course, Ell."
The curtain drew on the night.
The alarm rang in Kay Cee's house. 9:18 AM. She loved that time for no real reason. She peeked out through the blanket. Not very much light fell through the window. She got up. At a closer glance, she saw the rain pouring outside. "Ahhh. This is going to be a good day," she decided.
Kay Cee searched her refrigerator for large meat products. Yes, plenty. She could still feed the carnivore without being eaten. She crawled back into bed.
Franziska walked to the edge where she met those strange people yesterday evening. She decided that she would meet them in their own territory that time. She disappeared into the fog. After quite a while of walking, she found an AT, all right. It wasn't Sophie's, however. She wandered through the territory, but followed the sound of metal banging together after she started to hear it. Two houses appeared at a distance. "The Bonne Family," she read out loud.

Kurama looked up with a start.
"What is it?" Sophie asked.
"I recognize that scent." He said quietly. Sure enough, a familiar figure walked up to the strange buildings.
"Miss Von Karma!" He said, surprised. "What on earth are you doing here?" He walked over to where she stood.
"Do you know where we are? This is not part of Kay Cee's territory, is it?"
Sophie wandered around, looking at the trees. They were quite lovely, and the sky was nice and gray. She stopped when she realized a familiar-looking owl was following her.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Something's off with Basch." Erik said as he walked up.
The judge magister stood exactly where they had left him, staring at the sign. There were only two explanations for the name on the sign. One, that other puppeteers could have another Basch... and the other... that his brother was still alive.

From the whale-airship-house-thing's (from now on called the Gessie) window, someone looked at the man outside. The noise ceased. Two other bigger figures came to the window as well. They watched Basch for a while longer, before arguing a bit.
And soon, one the Gessie's big hatches opened, and Bon Bonne walked out, walking over to Basch.
"...Baboo." He said. He turned and waved at his siblings who were still at the window. They disappeared from sight. It was just Gabranth acting strange - nothing new. The noise resumed.
"Baboo?" Bon asked the man he thought was his neighbor. "Baboo boo?"

Basch was still immersed in his own thoughts, and didn't notice the rather large robot. Upon returning to the scene of the Broken Judge Magister, Jareth gasped and pointed.
"What is that thing?" Erik cried. Kurama, upon hearing him, smiled apologetically at Franziska.
"Excuse me." He said. "I think my friends may need assistance." He then ran off, pulling out his Rose Whip as he did.
"I think you should move now, mademoiselle." Erik grabbed Sophie by the wrist and began tugging her away from the unknown creature.
"But... Hold on a second..." She looked at Bon Bonne. He seemed a bit bewildered. She noticed a flash of red out of the corner of her eye.
"Kurama, stop!" She said forcefully. He paused, looking at her questioningly.
"It appears it means no harm." Jareth finally observed from his spot in a nearby tree. "My mistake, I suppose."

"You mean to tell me this is not your territory." Franziska deduced, "You came from this way before and do not know the owner of this one, meaning a new territory recently appeared between our two. It most likely happened while we were sleeping." She thrust her finger forward. "I was going to meet you in your own home. It seems I got up too late for that." Her hand rested on her hip once again.
She watched from a distance. If there was
anything
of any interest, it was the giant thing talking at Basch in some foreign language. Kurama's reaction to it and the resulting chaos had an element of entertainment. Sort of.
Kay Cee woke back up slightly less tired. Pfft, only a few minutes passed. Oh, well. Time for a bath!

Bon looked down. Was Gabby mad at him? Or just busy thinking? Either way, maybe he should... wait, who were
those
?
He had just noticed the bunch of people around him. First, he was a bit confused, but that soon turned to happiness! Sir Raph's AT had plenty of past times, but having fun with new friends is always better.
"Baboo!" He said in joy, waving at his new friends. He was about to poke Gabby to show him the new faces, when he saw yet another Gabranth, clad in his Judge armor, emerging from inside his house.
Gabranth glanced at Bon, sneered, then froze in his place when he saw another him. Another him? No... he could recognize his brother's look anywhere.

Basch stared, wide-eyed.
"N-Noah?!" He gasped. Then his face broke into a wide grin. "Brother!" He ran to the armored judge, throwing his arms around him. "You're alive! I can't believe it! It's a miracle!"
"Hm... So old Basch has a brother..." Jareth mused. "Interesting. I wonder how I could use this to my advantage..."
"Look... He's so happy." Sophie said quietly. Kurama nodded, then noticed that she was crying.
"You're such a wet blanket, Sophie." He said, patting her on the shoulder.
Erik examined the large robot. It seemed to be quite happy as well.
"Er, hello... strange thing." He said warily. "I assume your master is somewhere nearby?"

((1. Whoa. This took me three days to think up. O_O
2. Okay, I think I've finally got FVK's personality on the right track.
3. MAJOR EDIT: I noticed some of the more recent details contradicted previous ones. I have edited quite a few posts accordingly. *epic facepalm* They're really small but still pretty important.))
"All of you, wasting my time," Franziska decided. However, Little Miss Perfect once again had no control over whether or not she could use her whip. She speculated that Kay Cee had done this to protect Miles.
Like all times she jumped to conclusions, she lacked all of the necessary information.
In fact, Kay Cee sensed the very moment and where Franziska left the AT and kept a hold on her in case she rendezvoused with the other puppeteer's puppets. If her new acquaintances felt the sting of that whip, they wouldn't become very good friends.
The basic facts meant the whip-happy prosecutor could do no more than go back. She back walked the way she came from. As far as she was concerned, everything there had been examined and there was nothing left to do. She also had an ulterior motive for going back...
Back in her AT, Kay Cee got dressed in her best white suit. "Now!" She clapped her hands together. "Let's see..." She searched through her pieces of
eight
evidence. "Good."

Kurama watched Franziska leave.
"She's a unique character, I'll give her that." He said approvingly.
"Don't think Sophie heard you, fox." Jareth said from his perch in a tree, pointing. Kurama turned, and Sophie had indeed moved on, walking up to Bon and the other Gabranth.
"Ah, Noah," Basch said excitedly, "This is Sophie. And that's Kurama, and over there is Jareth... Where is Erik?" They looked around.
"I-I never saw him leave..." Sophie murmured. Jareth was silent. He saw, of course, but he didn't feel like divulging.
Erik appeared in Kay Cee's territory. He looked around, hefting the small sheaf of papers under his arm, then set out walking wherever his feet felt like taking him. All he wanted was a quiet place to finish composing his aria.
