Raposa scooted closer to West and, despite his sharp glare, batted her eyelashes as if feigning innocence. What a Trolleador! "Your cleric is... attractive to be sure. A wonderful character." She smiled at him sweetly and went back to where she was only a moment ago.

The redhead took a set of pink dice out of her clutch and set them before her.

"Ismene, Laena," she repeated to be able to remember the names better. "So, what bad RPs have you had to suffer through? I got to be in the ninth hell; Priory Point. That place was nothing but a whiny brawlfest."

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

"Nothing too terrible." Ai said in a thankful tone. "Our rpers are sadists, though. They like shoving us into improbable situations, or otherwise torture us." She glanced around, searching for food. didn't Nero and Claire set a load out for game night somewhere?

Oh, there. The bench behind her. She quietly excused herself to go snatch up a gracious handful of each kind of junk food up onto a paper plate.

"What about that new rp? The character swap?" Ismene asked. "That one isn't very fun."

"Oh, you mean the silly one where those two idiots try to play each other's characters? Hilarious. Glad I'm not a part of it." Laena smirked, taking a swig of her cola.

West shot another glare at the vampire - but it faded when she indirectly called him 'attractive'.  Even West likes to have his ego stroked.  "What RPs have we been in?" West said, his voice dripping with snark.  "I'm the only one who does any work around here."  Tsane glared across the table at the younger Ziran.

"I'm in the same RP you are."

"Oh please, we all know I'm the driving force behind that story.  You stand in the background and act nicey-nicey."

Tsane wasn't going to let that slide.  He fought monsters, he had all the inner anguish that Claine loved to write.  West didn't know who he was dealing with.  Tsane was DM.  "Very well," Tsane simply replied.  "Girls," he said to Pan's three ladies.  "How about you introduce your characters so we can begin."

Raposa sighed deeply. "If you think your players are sadistic, you need to meet Glen Dreyfuss. He's another character of Escargot's. He lost everything he ever loved in the holocaust. For a long time, he's always considered himself as having nothing left to lose... until he met Claine's character. Now he's started to realize this, and his heart is shattering. Meanwhile, Escargot dances around to Korean Pop music." She quieted down to let the girls introduce their characters.

As for West, she smiled. Her work was done. Clan Toreador were skilled in manipulating the hearts of Kine. Even if she didn't have to, she liked to make people feel good about themselves, not to mention a bit more comfortable around her.

Meanwhile, she fiddled with her pretty pink dice.

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

"I dunno. Pan's come up with some really screwed up shit. She has characters stowed away for her shows that none of us at the table has met." And for that, Ai was incredibly grateful. Indeed, she knew she had it easy compared to others, but that didn't change the fact Pan have a love for some of the most disturbing things.

"Anyway, my character Eris. BUT, it's a code name, and her real name is unknown." Uh, now what would be a good hair color? Ai quickly scribbled in a random choice. "Red hair, green eyes. That's good."

"Red hair?" Ismene questioned. "That'll stand out."

"Claine's character?" West asked.  Other than the three of them at the table there were no other characters belonging to Claine.  Sure, there were some years ago but her list of active characters got shorter and shorter until only the three of them remained.  Occasionally another one would pop up for a short attempt at RP, but they too would never last.  If it wasn't himself, and wasn't Tsane, there was only one more possibility.  West's gaze turned to Nero.

Nero raised his hands in defence.  "It's not me."

"Of course, not," West agreed with a flat voice.  "How unlike you to do any work."  And in something to do with holocaust survivors? That was not a suitable RP for Nero.

"Actually, I've heard of a new character," Tsane said.

"Oh please, he won't last." West used 'he' with confidence.  If there was another standard among Claine's characters, that was it.  "And why haven't we met him?"

"I hear his RP is doing very well," Tsane replied.  "Why we haven't met him, I don't know."  He recalled Ai's comment.  "Maybe he's 'screwed up.'  It could be good that we haven't met him."

"Please, I don't think anything written by Claine is capable of scaring me."

"Anyway," Tsane said changing the topic.  "Your character sounds pretty good Ai.  Red hair is fine.  How about yours, Ismene?"

Raposa sighed. She dropped the subject of Claine's new characters and went around to listening to the others introduce their D&D characters.

She smiled at the others and played with her dice, seemingly without a care in the world. She could talk later. For the time being, she would listen.

"I figured I would add a dash of mystery to my character." Ismene began, sliding her meticulously filled character sheet across the table for all to see.

"My character - female, obviously - doesn't have a physical description, because her face will always be obscured by a helmet."

"... even when she sleeps?" Laena raised a brow at Ismene's declaration, eyeballing the paper.

Ismene nodded, repeating "Always." darkly, as if it were some kind of foreshadowing. Ai snorted.

Even as the boys muddled over the prospect of a character they'd never met, the idea didn't particularly bother the girls, all of whom were well aware of the fact that Pan had an entire other Pansion dedicated to a group of characters whom were not associated with the universe of Tzel'kora. All the knew about it was that they were cannonically centuries old and tended to represent places.

"Oh, don't worry about it. All roleplayers have a ton of characters that don't know each other." Ai encouraged, smiling at them.

Had all the girls introduced their characters by now?  Tsane couldn't remember.   He looked over at West who was still brooding over the possibility that Claine had characters he didn't know about.  It was better to just get started.  If he put it off any longer, the arguing at the table could tear the whole campaign apart before it even started.

"Alright, let's get started."  Tsane said to the group.  "We start this adventure outside an ancient temple.  The stone walls are carefully carved, each side of the building showing a battle fought in legends.  Possibly, nobody has seen this exquisite monument to the long-forgotten Gods in over a thousand years.   Who knows what mysteries are inside?  You walk right around the temple - only to discover that there does not seem to be an entrance."

Aratumorte looked up at the temple. A shiver ran down his spine.  He turned to face his companions.  Of course, he was the leader of this expedition.  Just look at them!  They looked like fools, too small for their own armour.  He reached out and touched the carvings.  Gently his fingers traced through the fine shapes and crevices.  "We should scour the area for any secret entrances," he said radiating with talent, confidence and masculinity.
