OOC Balance of Earth Thread

Ever since the dawn of time, the world has been regulated by Twin Gods, Order and Chaos. They keep the world in balance and do not tip the scales one way or the other.

Long before our story began, a darkness was created by man. This darkness had to be sealed by the First Affinities, an small band of special people who gave their lives to seal it.

Thousands of years later, this evil has been released, its bonds weak with time. The Twin Gods must choose six new Affinities to seal this evil. But must they give their lives or can they stop it before it becomes too powerful?

Order must choose Light, Animals and Plants.
Chaos must choose Darkness, Water and Flame.

Elements and their RPers:

Light: Sahara
Darkness: Sparrow
Animals: Cookie
Water: Seraph
Plants: Ansrit
Flame: Sparrow

Bad Evil Death Stuff: Sahara

Each power must be accompanied by a weakness. For example, Light can heal, but it can only be used once or twice or it makes them faint or something.

Fire.  It's a dude.  Dunno his name.

He's pretty friendly, really laid-back.  Takes a lot to make him mad, I guess.  Weakness is if he gets too cold or too wet, it's a lot more difficult for him to manifest his powers.  So I guess he'd have a poncho or umbrella with him even if there's like only a 10 percent chance of rain.

darkness is a girl. Aside from that, no clue.

Kadan for this arpee. Had to tweak him a bit, since even though he has vulnerabilities, he has no weakness per se.

So... he can't summon water, only manipulate the water around him. That includes vapor. Extracting water from living beings or by extracting the necessary molecules from other objects is a no-no.

Weaknesses, besides fire and lightning, would be low temperatures: separating water molecules in ice is possible, but takes an awful lot of time and effort, and has little results. Think melting ice with the natural warmth of palm of your hand... only you can do it from afar.

And when he goes Full Release - if you, Sahara, are willing to allow something like that, well... think crazed and physically feeble, but surrounded by unpredictable torrents of water.

I dunno, I'm not sure if I should make a girl or a scrawny dude. I'm feeling rather inclined to the girl, if only to balance the male:female ratio on my characters.

Still, plants is an incredible power, obviously weak to fire and most likely extreme cold in most cases. Maybe animals but plants and animals have been on a totally escalating arms war at each other so that animals is also weak to plants in turn. Even when limited to things with chlorophyll it can have tons of applications but still something remains:

Is it exclusively manipulation of plants already there? Can it alter the growth of seeds so that the charie only has to have some seed on his or her person?

I'll let you decide, but try to give he/she limitations. Personally, I would think they could only manipulate plants that were already there.
