Are there any guidelines to joining a game?

Well, For any questions, you could ask the GM directly on the OOC thread in their specific sub-forum.

Other than that, it's pretty free.

Guidelines? Well, you ask the person who started the game if you can join (they rarely say no), then post your character's profile in, well, Character Profiles. And then you post.

Simple, huh?

Hey and welcome. If the RP is public, you don't really need to ask anyone. For private marked RPs, you'll need to post on their relevant OOC thread, etc.
