What I think:

The game is very different mood-wise to the last ones.  Look at this video of the opening to see what I mean.

But for the most part, I can't understand a word.  I can either turn Kanji off and try to struggle through the hiragana looking for words I know - or turn Kanji on and be able to pick out the ones I know for guesses of meaning.  Either way, I'm not getting much at all.

And other than that, it's a pokemon game.  I'm not far in, but there's been no surprises. 

I seriously wish they'd mix the series up in terms of plot - and I think they're trying to here.  I'd relish if games had a branching storyline or at least one where you have some choice.

Black and White mark the point where I'm done playing this series. Phantom Hourglass did the same thing for me and LoZ, and FF13 was the killer for Final Fantasy. What's the next game that will be the final straw?

I always wanted a game where I could join Team Rocket.

They have hacks for that.

Like the single player mode in Pokemon Colosseum? Where you have to save dark Pokemon etc. ? I'd like something like that.
