Personality/Mannerisms

Al-raii may know of ancient secrets forgotten by all others, but still can't understand the nature of the ones he possesses very well. He does his best to mimic it, and succeeds to a certain extent. However, this makes his personality very fickle and ever-changing, but usually a strange and freaky mix of haughtiness, cheerfulness, and inquisitive behavior.

It's all an act, though. Except the curiosity thing.

Beneath that, he suffers, though not nearly as much as he used to. The reason for that has much to do with the his race...




Incarnates are born from disembodied souls whose love for life and vanity allow them to seek further existence and beauty, by possessing any kind of animal body.

When the Incarnate's true form, a bluish (or in incredibly old individuals, purple - this is not the case with Al-raii) incorporeal phantom, possesses a body, it becomes like a replacement soul for it, destroying its previous soul and taking control of the body. When it leaves a body to possess another one, the empty shell left behind dies. They cannot possess a dead or artificial body, making their mere existence a cause of many deaths. Born with a intrinsic hatred for their own true form, their usual purpose in life is to seek the perfect body, at the cost of many innocent lives.

Most find this acceptable and do not mourn their victims; some, like Al-raii, are peaceful beings with a hatred for death who are yet doomed to kill over and over again until they find themselves a good body.

Al-raii is happy with his current body, and as such hasn't killed in at least five years. However, his body will eventually age, and he will have to seek yet another one...

He usually takes a day or two to get completely used to his new bodies. During that time, his host's eyes shine bright blue.
